04-May-2023State Boards, ICSE Boards, CBSE Boards are all different types of Education Boards in India. Each board has its own characteristics, syllabus and scoring system. A brief description of each follows:
State Commission:
A state board is a board of education controlled and supervised by a state government. Each Indian state has its own State Council which sets its own curriculum and assessment system. State authorities generally follow the local language as the language of instruction, although English is also taught as a subject. State agencies may have their own curricula, textbooks, and exams, which may vary in quality and standards.
ICSE Board:
ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) is an institution administered by the Indian Council for School Accreditation Examinations. It is a private, non-governmental institution primarily focused on providing quality education to students. The ICSE Board curriculum is known for its rigorous curriculum covering a wide range of subjects such as mathematics, science and languages. The Board follows English as the language of instruction.
CBSE Board:
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is an institution administered by the Central Government of India. It is one of the most popular boards in India and is recognized by universities and colleges across the country. The CBSE Board curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education and covers a wide range of subjects such as science, mathematics, social sciences and languages. The Board follows both English and Hindi as languages of instruction.
